How to reach us
WhatsApp is usually the quickest route from abroad. The duty line takes calls outside office hours too; if it is not picked up, a WhatsApp message is answered as soon as possible. Email is for documents and matters that are not urgent.
What to send, if you can
- The full name and nationality of the person held, as written in their passport.
- Where they are — police station, courthouse or facility, and the district.
- When they were detained, as precisely as you know it.
- What they have been told the offence is.
- Whether a statement has been taken, and whether anything has been signed.
- Photographs of any document they were given, even if it is in Turkish.
If you have none of this, write anyway. Establishing the facts is part of the work.
